Each year, the Junior League of Richardson evaluates the unmet, critical needs of the Richardson, Garland, and North Dallas communities and develops projects to address those needs. These projects are supported with a combination of volunteer hours and financial assistance. The JLR membership serves more than 250 hours every month in support of these programs that have a positive impact on the community.

Don't Wait to Vaccinate
A Junior League of Richardson Signature Project
This free immunization program is a unique coalition between JLR, the City of Richardson and Richardson Regional Medical Center. Don't Wait to Vaccinate is a signature project for JLR and originated in March 1994. In 2006, we vaccinated our 35,000th child. The clinic provides all required vaccines to eligible Richardson children and RISD students. Volunteers greet parents and children, explain registration procedures and introduce the client to the nurse.

Miss Belle's Place
A Junior League of Richardson Signature Project
Miss Belle’s is a two-story Victorian farmhouse, circa 1887, depicting life at the turn of the century. In 1902, it became Richardson’s first private school operated by Miss Belle. It is one of the oldest remaining structures of early Richardson. JLR is responsible for its maintenance and members act as tour docents. This is a collaborative project between the City of Richardson, Owens Country Farm and The Junior League of Richardson.

Sheroes  (Education Service Center Region 10)

Region 10 publishes a pamphlet containing success stories of women and distributes it to young struggling women who will benefit from such success stories.
